Audi Service Plan - Worth it?
Discussion
I should be having my new Q7 55 TFSI delivered in October and I'm trying to ascertain if its worth taking out a service plan. The plan appears to be £475 which includes two consecutive services.
I can't find the service costs of the Q7 anywhere but I wondered if the service plan is generally worth it?

Does the plan demand that the car is on annual servicing? The VW / SEAT ones do. Might be fine for you, but the cars can be on longlife servicing otherwise.
If it's on some sort of VAG finance then might be worth asking what the service, maint and tyres package cost is. They've probably got wise to it now, but early Q7's ate tyres and it was worth having the package for the tyres alone.
Wife has a Tiguan and from looking at the model forum the cost for people doing lowish miles over 3 years is incredibly low as the system assumes the car will only need one service and won't need tyres - I've seen under a tenner a month. OK, the Q7 will likely be loads more but still might be worth it. I also think you can lose a monthly payment in the noise of day-to-day spending whereas a £400 service bill is more noticeable.
