So i out of nowhere mine is now at the dealers ready to go, picking up in March on the 21 plate when it's released. Any news on yours?
Literally just visited forum to ask you to keep me updated with your progress mate. Nice! Glad your’s is ready to go now.

No update for me, but I’d like to think mine was on the boat with yours. I’ve leased mine through Discover Car Leasing and they’re stating we are just waiting for audi finance to send the paperwork through and that’s what they and the dealer are waiting for.

My car goes back 3rd March and i’ve booked the rest of the week off work just in case but come the following week, if no car I'm screwed ha.

Hopefully Audi finance pull their finger out.

Look forward to your pictures mate!

Anyone else got a white a5 and have dirty marks on the sills from where water drains from the bottom of the doors?

Looks a mess. Any way to stop it happening?

Don’t drive it in the rain and leave it in the garage.

Or plug the drain holes, can’t see the harm in that’ll all......

Sarcasm wasn’t needed.

I was thinking of maybe a product I could apply to the sills?

Yep been a long wait but finally got somewhere! Have you had any news on yours yet?

I'm not going to be able to actually pick mine up for a couple of weeks so think you'll end up with yours first! Is yours a Coupe as well?

Just sorting insurance out before car arrives on thursday.

As expected, the form doesn't recognise the registration plate, and one of the questions is regards to an immobiliser and tracker.

Do these cars come with a tracker? I guess the immobiliser is standard nowadays.

Cheers,

Kev

Mines coming in a couple of weeks !!

I saved nearly £400 off the initial rental due to the discussed tax changes.

It’s costing me £286.50 amortised!! Bargain

It’s about 16% of RRP. Best lease deal I’ve ever got !!!

Mine was ordered a month ago and got a message today saying a build slot is allocated and delivery expected for mid May. Is that realistic?

Agree about the immobiliser. It's interesting because I think by law they all have a SIM in the car now for multiple reasons - automatic accident notification, over the air software updates, etc. so surely this SIM could track the car? Does if you download the app onto your phone surely? Interesting if you suspect your spouse of not going where they say they are going lol

Now my car has tipped over 500 miles I am disappointed to see it’s showing I need an oil change in 8000 odd miles (but in almost 2 years time) am I right in thinking this means I will need to get the oil change done and then the inspection service at 2 years?

I was banking on the fact I would only need 1 service after 2 years and not 2.

You might find it will stay at 8000 miles for the next few thousand miles. My previous Audis have all done that and I end up servicing them between 15k - 18k miles.

That would be good. I had an a4 avant in 2017 and ended up handing that back just before the service was due at 2 years.

To be honest although I have only had the a5 for 2 months I wouldn’t be averse to extending the lease over my 2 years if the price was ok. I really like the car.

So my car was meant to get delivered today, but it never arrived.

Delivery driver noticed on motorway that the bonet was ‘wobbling’ as if the catch was loose and turned around and took it back the dealer...

Hopefully have the a5 soon!

Anyone noticed loose bonnets at high speed?

Ah what a nightmare sorry to hear that mate! After all that time waiting as well, have they said when you'll likely get it?

Collecting mine next Friday if all goes to plan and the bonnet isn't loose!

Received mine yesterday - finally!

Not sure if bonnet right or not though and needs realignment. Is the bonet meant to have overhang at every panel it meets as well as the headlights?

Could just be overthinking it because it had to go back for its flappy bonnet initially!

Makes perfect sense. Build slot is usually confirmed a month before production (so April production) and delivery is usually about month later (May). The longest part is waiting for built slot assignment.

Hi
After a lengthy hassle where Royal Mail postman delivered the paperwork (signed Recorded delivery) 5miles away from the dealer and cannot now locate it (this took 2 weeks to get to the bottom of) - I am finally getting the car on Wednesday. 🤞

GoSkippy who I currently insure with say they cannot cover the vehicle- don’t know why.

Mine is the A5 Sportback 35 TDI S Line Tronic version - any recommendations on insurance and gap insurance?
Also - I’m assuming that it has an immobiliser and tracker fitted as standard (tracking via the app)?

Any assistance on the above will be helpful.

Will send pics once delivered

Cant wait now to be honest

I went with manufacturer fitted immobiliser mate as they standard now and no tracker. Apparently it has to he 24/7 tracker and the tracker in audi isn’t live and can be turned off via the car infotainment. Plus, my insurance was coming out more expensive with tracker....

I didn’t go with gap insurance so let me mnow if you do go for it out of curiosity.
