The 2024 Volkswagen Touareg has been spied testing for the very first time with minor cosmetic changes. In addition, the crossover will receive subtle upgrades to its cabin and its 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine could be dropped due to tighter emission regulations. #Touareg
Interesting! Another reason to see this order through.Cole Marzen

A year ago I ordered a fully specced - like everything except night vision - Trg R to replace the Bentayga. I cancelled when the honest dealer said he had no idea when I’d see it unless I deleted a lot of options - my deal was £72k.
However VW don’t seem to know I’ve cancelled and I’m still being asked to realign the spec !!! Unless I do I’d probably never see it but I’ll tell them again it’s cancelled. I’ll look for a used one once values start to drop.

I’m more interested if they are delaying the build on our cars as we all got decent lease deals - thinking we will cancel the orders as we tire of waiting.
Meanwhile they allocate the build slots to more lucrative models /deals / customers.
Who knows - VW have got massive form when it comes to corporate shenanigans……..
When the brown stuff hits the economic fan this coming winter, VW may well find they suddenly have far less customers willing to buy/lease, never mind wait 18 months+! Meanwhile they allocate the build slots to more lucrative models /deals / customers.

Been following this thread for a while whilst waiting for my VW Touareg BE.
Finally got some news in terms of delivery, mine is due at the dealer next week. Hopefully my time line gives others an indication of when to expect there vehicle 👍🏻
ORDERED - End of April 21 (originally scheduled for Sep21)
BUILD WEEK - after loads of delays like everybody else, build week was finally week 11 (Mar 22)
SHIPPED - finally shipped in the middle of June
ARRIVAL IN U.K. - after another 3 weeks at Emden, it arrived on Thursday and is due at the dealer this Tuesday 😀
Just under 15 months in total. Been renting a car for the last 2 months after my previous lease deal on an XC60 reached its maximum term and the lease company demanded it back.
Hope this helps

I had this from Newcastle VW a couple weeks back but very vague :-/
I am contacting you to give you an update on the vehicle you have on order with us, the factory has accepted the order and your vehicle has a confirmed production date. It should be arriving in approx the next 6 - 12 weeks. We are still experiencing unprecedented delays due to semi-conductor shortages and also other components and parts so this is just a guide and we will be able to offer a more accurate lead time when the vehicle is built and shipped to us.

Being delivered tomorrow 😀
It’s a bit difficult to comprehend to be honest, there were times that I completely forgot about it over the last 14 months… sorted a few things out for it today in terms of insurance etc. have enquired with the garage next to work about a Ghost Immobiliser, the guy couldn’t recommend them enough! I’ve done a bit of research on them and if nothing else, they bring some peace of mind

Lovely colour. First impressions?
The car is absolutely incredible. Before this I had a LR Discovery Sport and a Volvo XC60, both lovely cars but they just don’t come near this one! It seems to switch effortlessly between idling in traffic in comfortably surroundings and then accelerating at a pace SUVs shouldn’t be able to…
The infotainment system takes quite a bit of getting used to, even for someone who loves “gadgets and settings” but I’m getting there.
I had high hopes for the car, ordered without ever sitting inside one… it eclipses every expectation I had.

One thing I have noticed is that the R-LINE badge in the grille has changed to resemble the R model. I thought that was strange. I’m not sure what an R model now has that differentiates it, I think I was it with just the R acorns the back, rather that TOUAREG
Yeah the side trims have also changed with the new R logo and less of a chrome look. Also the front lower trim strip looks to be black now not chrome like ours was. I had our exhaust trims sprayed gloss black as a little mod - always bothered me almost everything else was black not chrome as per black edition but they fitted two large chromed exhaust trims
