VW Touareg Lease Deal
Discussion
My July 21 order has apparently, out of the blue, been built and is in transit to UK. Delivery to dealer some time in Feb so I'll try for early March delivery. Typically went and bought an X5 in October as I was convinced it wouldn't come before April. Now to flog that in the next few weeks...

Mine was the same - came from nowhere. What colour did you order mate? Great news BTW!Question for those who’ve taken delivery and have the IQ adaptive LED’s fitted.
I’m now spending a lot of time with the lights on and the adaptive main beam activated. On dark roads, I’m constantly getting flashed by cars coming the other way, has anyone else experienced this? My previous car was a G31 5 series also with adaptive LED’s and I don’t recall getting flashed at so regularly. Not sure if there is a sub menu I’ve missed that can make the adaptive lights more sensitive and quicker to dim. Or are the lights just on the wrong side of anti social for British roads.
From where I’m sat the lights are the best I’ve ever used, but it’s bit weird sitting there knowing that per journey several people going the other way are calling you a tt etc. There is enough of a moral dilemma of driving a big SUV without this being loaded on to fuel the stereotype.

I have so far found LED matrix headlights to be extremely effective and the dynamic light assist system seems to do its job well….. however i have found a couple of times the assist system turning itself off for no apparent reason leaving you sat with full beam on. Maybe you’re experiencing the same issue. I haven’t looked into it yet tbh but would be useful to understand if there’s a fix.I’m now spending a lot of time with the lights on and the adaptive main beam activated. Finally taking mine in for a new car prep and ceramic coating tonight. Should have it back on Saturday. Will post some pics once done.
As a courtesy car I will have a new Tiguan so will be interesting to see what that's like.
Looking forward to hopefully see a few more deliveries drop soon on this thread!

Mine is being built next week apparently. Black, coloured ambient lighting, rear-wheel steering.
Have people seen the renderings for the updated model:
Softer front end, and ID4/Cayenne light bar seem the order of the day. Think I prefer current look.
Will be interesting to see what they do inside, and if they will bring out the hybrid model across the trim levels like in Europe.

Car is back from being machine polished and having a ceramic coating applied by Miglior Detailing. Plus some PPF on the boot lip and rear bumper just incase anything gets dragged out of the boot. Incredibly happy with the result.
Looks great. I’m tempted to look into something similar in the spring. Is it cheeky to ask how much it cost? Quotes seem to vary wildly. dickieboy28 said:

So here he is, just delivered last week. Driven a few hundred miles on a mix of B roads, motorway and dual carriage way. I am extremely happy with him, and feel very lucky to have such a machine. The refinement is on another level to what I’ve driven before, (2019 Volvo S60 T5, 2014 330d xdrive). It is supremely comfortable and well insulated from the road. Interior build is excellent and tech fantastic- though that will take some getting used too.
Engine (286bhp diesel 3.0) is also very refined and powerful. Never wants for more power. Gearbox is fine, delay reported by press/others, not noticeable - unless you are blatantly going for a gap on a roundabout from stand still that you should otherwise not be doing. It’s responsive and of course more urgent if you rotate mode into sports etc. Instant, rapid overtakes are very easy.
Pleasantly surprised by the economy/ performance mix. Still running it in - but got an easy 41 mpg cruising up the motorway at the legal limit on adaptive cruise. On a hustle down a B road, it certainly shifts, I’m just aware of the increased width. Ride is definitely more comfy than sporty - but the right combo for me - speed, comfort and hushed - what more do you want!
Oh and the adaptive matrix lights are very impressive - worked perfectly and lit up the road around traffic very well.
