2017 rs6 performance oil usage info

Hi all, I’ve a 2017 rs6 and would like to know how much oil you use. I bought the car in August and have topped up 3 times. I mentioned this to the dealer and they said you can use half a litre every 700 odd miles,. They said it is not a problem to come in for inspection, does this sound about right .

I have put nearly 3000 miles on brining the mileage up to 24 thousand

Don’t know if it’s any help but driving 2016 s6 which is the same engine covered 7.5k miles in the last 3 months with just over 1.5l of topping up of engine oil to max

I had a 2017 PE until a couple of months ago. After around 20,000 miles the oil consumption started to go up, I reckon I added half s litre every 1k or so. HTH

I’m probably getting through 3-4 litres between services

Not the same vehicle but same family of engines, but my S6 uses about 1 litre every 10,000miles which is actually better than my old 8P S3 which was about 2x that.

Mine's a '17 PE. Between oil services in Dec '17 and July '19 I drove ~ 10,000 mies (I was abroad for 5 months) and had to add about 1/2 litre during that period. Probably a similar top-up from May '17 to Dec '18 during its first year of ownership. Car's just coming up to 37K miles overall and I've not seen any increase in oil consumption since new.

Of course I'm now expecting to find a puddle of oil on the drive when I drive in to work tonight!
