Any one able to tell me the part number for a rear drivers side door lock for my Avant, and do the saloon, S5, avant have different locks?
My lockings packed up and I'm looking for a S/H one on Ebay.
Dont really want to have to pull it all apart just to get the number, I've all ready had it out once and got it working but it's gone again. (forgot to write the number down, doh!)
I wish there was a Real oem for Audi, so useful.

Are you talking about the entire latch mechanism, or a keyless sensor? My lockings packed up and I'm looking for a S/H one on Ebay.

Dipstick for the 3.0 supercharged is 06E115611H.
I got one from 'Listers Seat' in Worcester, part no. as above. Price was £10.00 including p&p back in August.

Anyone know what it costs for a new wing mirror outer casing? ie. just the silver bit. Looking at it I assume the silver bit comes separately (snap off old one, snap the new one on? though not sure how), as opposed to the whole mirror (including indicator, relevant electrics, glass mirror, etc) coming as a complete integrated unit?! (I hope not the latter!).
Any help appreciated, otherwise I can of course drop by a dealer, but you guys may know better than they do, from some recent experience. Thanks.

Complete latch, I was going to take it out last weekend but too cold and now they're forecasting the same this weekend
HiyaThey're only £114 new RRP, so with some TPS discount I'd just go with that option I think. Rather worryingly in Etka it tells you to 'check the part number in the vehicle before ordering' before listing 4 different variants!
The part number starts with 8k0 839 016 and there are 'a' 'c' and 'd' variants in addition. Part number seems to tally for saloon or estate. There seems to be no logical link to PR codes or build dates, so I'm afraid I think removal of the door card at least is on the cards, but then if you're ordering a new one you might as well just leave it off till it arrives?

Are you sitting down?! £343 incl VAT RRP......I have them set to autofold when the doors are locked and if the windows are open then they too will close by holding down the lock button.
In this scenario the window will rub against the mirror and mark the glass - it did just this when I was experimenting with locking/closing etc. It's not a problem really as I rarely drive with windows open and if I did I would close before switching off anyway and so it's just not going to happen.
However when it was in for a service I mentioned it to the dealer in case the stop point of the mirror was adjustable and because the car was still in warranty, they inspected it and said that the stop plate inside the mirror housing is slightly bent hence it folds further than it should - they reckon it's been damaged so not under warranty?
They said the stop plate is not available to buy separately and that if they tried to straighten it, it might break so the only option was to buy a complete mirror housing/assembly at £1,200.
I declined as it really doesn't bother me (certainly not £1200 worth of bother) and I'm fairly certain that I could straighten/bend/weld/modify etc. the plate if I could be bothered, maybe I will one day when I'm bored...

ps. do you know the part number, or whether it's just the outside casing (not the whole unit, electrics etc)?
Would ECP have it?
For left mirror it should be 8T0 857 527A 3Q7 and right is 8T0 857 528A 3Q7Would ECP have it?
Note that there's also a C variant instead of the A which I think is for side assist, so double check before ordering. Part numbers are correct for a 2010 model year so if yours is a facelift let me know the year and I can double check.
Definitely just the outer casing.
Ref query on painted caps - they come primed only for £116.53
Mirror mechanisms depend a lot on spec in terms of electric fold, memory seats etc - anything between about £100-270

Definitely just the outer casing.
Might be better/easier (cheaper!) to repair it.

Thanks Adrian, very helpful. Mine is 2010, so spot on. That really is extortionate for just the outer casing! <sigh>

This doesn't sound right - I touched mirrors with a guy in France this year & needed a new cover. Got it changed so it all fitted back together and even with the labour the cost was only £100 or so.Might be better/easier (cheaper!) to repair it.
Will try to remember to look out the invoice for mine as used a specialist with OE parts

Looks like pattern parts are also available at slightly more realistic prices.https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/oen/8t0857528a3q7

I'll have the door card off when get a chance, I've been in the door twice already this year so I'm getting quite good at it, lol.
I have used TPS but they were a real PITA earlier this year for my speakers, They are a 60 mile round trip from me, so in the past I've just paid by card and had the parts delivered to me at work.
But this year they made a big fuss about doing this, and I had to get them to deliver to my nephew who works at a garage. who I then had to meet up with to get them.
This was supposed to be because of card fraud, which i understand to a point but I have been buying from them for 5 years, and then at no point did they ask any details about the card I was paying with, not even my name and address, go figure?
