That's the carplay unit I have in mine, works very well though if using it for any time wirelessly it kills your phone battery so worth plugging in.
Also integrates well with the car's switchgear, the only annoyance is that whilst selecting various carplay features, you will also be selecting car stuff in the background though using the touchscreen does help mitigate and simplify.
Worth adding on the reversing camera whilst fitting it, IIRC it's only an extra £50 - £60.
Does the car need to have a functional MMI for this to work? Also integrates well with the car's switchgear, the only annoyance is that whilst selecting various carplay features, you will also be selecting car stuff in the background though using the touchscreen does help mitigate and simplify.

Water in the rear quarter means it seems my MMI is FUBAR - talking to my specialist it seems that buying a second hand MMI is an issue as they can't / won't code it as their software is getting sticky on fitting of second hand parts.
What are my options?

Would have thought that a second hand part would work if you have VCDS or similar for coding though?
