Pressure mounting on Barr? He's no longer acting hidden away in the shadows.

Donald Ayer, former U.S. Deputy A.G. under Bush 41: "Bill Barr Must Resign. The attorney general is working to destroy the integrity and independence of the Justice Department, in order to make Donald Trump a president who can operate above the law."

"Given our national faith and trust in a rule of law no one can subvert, it is not too strong to say that Bill Barr is un-American. And now, from his perch as attorney general, he is in the midst of an attack on the core principles that have guided our justice system."

Trump got driven around Daytona, or at least his car went around smileD. Agreed by NASCAR as Fox wanted it during their coverage apparently.

If I was president I'd insist on driving around, windows down, arm out the window... best of all in a performance car. Wonder if that's allowed?

You’re out of date there, GF, apparently America is already ‘great again’. This has been accomplished in the time trump has been president, the folks who attend his rallies are now holding up signs that read ‘KEEP AMERICA GREAT!’ and typing #KAG on their Twitter posts.

It’s not clear exactly when greatness was restored (or how) but hey, it’s fantastic news that it has happened.

That's wonderful Paul, now you all can get on with Making the U.K great again without the E.U. telling you how it should be done while charging you to do so. smile

I'm sure Jimbeaux will tell us. With facts, figures and sources to back it all up.

With all the reading he does on all matters regarding Trump, it's the very least we can expect.

I suspect that the least your country could expect is for you to expend this much energy helping it through its current crisis. She is getting a bit jealous of the fanatical adherence to all things Trump by her own inhabitants, of a place thousands of mile away. It is blatantly obvious you do this out of hate for one man, not out of your heartfelt care for our well being here in the U.S. Hate is corrosive, it takes all your time (as this obviously does) and eats away at your insides. Stop hating gentlemen, you will feel so much better. biggrin

I had no feelings either way for the man until he showed his true colours right from the off once he was in office.

He's embarrassing your country on a global scale. If that's acceptable to you because he keeps his base at home happy, fine.

Whether we feel one way or another about him, what is that to you?

You seem to be struggling to understand the concept of a 'discussion forum'.

Maybe we could make some flashcards or something to help you out.

Would you be saying that to me if was a Trump supporter?

Oh no that is a weak retort; so is the one about how we effect you. I can see that to an extent but not to the maniacal levels of obsession about three of you on here have reached. No, this is beyond "discussion", the insults alone have precluded that; this is about hate. Pure and simple. yes

Honestly, if you were digging to this level of detail on a consistent basis, yes. I would be very curious as to why, whichever way you leaned.

Yep, plenty of problems in the UK, I am happy to agree there, Jim. From my side though, I am very rarely back home in the UK. Mrs guitar is American, I work for an American company and spend the vast majority of my time here. It’s a country that I have always loved and admired. That’s why I am sincerely sorry to see it being dragged into the gutter.

I assume I'm one of the "three".

However you have posted far more than me in here since you returned.

I don't believe you.

Level of detail? What? Doing some reading? Keeping abreast of current affairs?

well if you feel that is what is happening then you have a legitimate grievance. You did explain a few days ago that this is in Atlanta I believe. Either way, the three or so people I am referring to is not you. There is opposing opinion and then there is fanaticism, complete with bile.

Oh I know I have. As was pointed out, there was a want of another opinion, from over here. Therefore to try to respond to the various points, it obviously is going to require far more output if that is to come from one person.

I don't hate him. He's not worthy of that.

It's just embarrassing that America has a figurehead like him.

Truly embarrassing.

And it's shown serious flaws in your governmental processes and also just how backward and divided America is in many respects.
