What can I do about a muppet that continues to park in front
Discussion
For months, I have had someone parking repeatedly in front of my drive. We live in a little court, and there’s plenty of parking literally 30 yards away. Enough for 15+ cars.
People just dump their cars wherever on the court which is extremely aggravating as sometimes I am unable to get on or out of my drive.
Multiple people do it but there is one repeat offender. I have asked multiple times, politely, for them to move. They move it; the next day it’s in the same spot.
Wouldn’t mind... as there is other parking. But when I have to leave for work and I’m blocked in, it’s rage inducing! I could probably just park elsewhere, but no, fk that, I paid for my drive, I’m using the fker. How can I deal with this git?

In front of, as in across your drive on your side of the road, or on the opposite side? If the former, and you can't get out, you could phone 101 if you have a while before you have to leave, as that's obstructiing your access to the highway. Doesn't apply if you are trying to get in though, and if it's the latter, nothing you can do.

The person is clearly an idiot. However, have you made it crystal clear, in idiot speak, that they can’t park there as it blocks you in, and prevents you from getting in and out in an emergency?
It sounds like you’re just repetitively asking them to move at that given moment, which they are doing, so they don’t think they’re doing anything wrong.
Toughen up, tell them that if they don’t stop parking there you’ll set light to it (proper internet hard man style).
There’s no dropped kerb or pavement. The whole little court area is flat with direct access to all the drives, with about 6 houses. There’s room for 3 parked cars at the end without obstruction. I’ve made it perfectly clear that it’s in my way, in moron speak too. Can I clamp the bugger?
Most of the time it’s just an annoyance. They could move it a few feet forward and not block me but noooo, that would be too easy. But when I can’t get out, it’s a genuine problem. A lot of the time I can squeeze out but don’t want to scratch my motor... wouldn’t hurt if their bashed up heap of st had another scratch mark.

Block his drive with your car. I presume he isn’t leaving it unoccupied. And get a camera up beforehand in case he decides he is special.
She doesn’t have a drive. Hence why she decides to block my drive. She is out and I have taken my car off the drive, and moved it into her spot. Which is now my spot until she gets the picture!

Your description of the area as a `court' implies that it may be private land. If so you should check your title documents, as there may well be something that prohibits anyone on the development from causing a nuisance or obstructing fellow residents.
This is particularly the case if there's a management company involved.
If there are any such provisions then come back and say what they are, so that we can look at how best to enforce them.

if the car is taxed and there are no yellow lines he isnt really doing anything wrong. Inconsiderate, but not illegal.
ring the scrap man and tell him he can take it away for free. or buy a tow rope.
Doesn’t apply here because it’s a flat area, but your post is rubbish mate, if he’s parked across a dropped drive them that’s causing an obstructionring the scrap man and tell him he can take it away for free. or buy a tow rope.

Become nocturnal. Start ringing her doorbell at 3am to shift it. You probably won't need to do that more than twice.
Sounds like a fantastic idea to me - it's not inconviencing her much at this point, but when it's late at night, or very early in the morning, it starts to be a right pain for her. Then, maybe, the behaviour will change.randlemarcus said:

That is my understanding too, as explained a few years ago to me by our local copper at our council meeting. However, no dropped kerb?Write a very nice polite note pointing out the problem. Do it though on one of those A4 papers that you have to lick the back. Then pick a nice dry sunny day and stick it on his screen. With a bit of luck it will take him an hour to scrape it off.
