My griff has the hotstart problem, and want to fit a modwise hotstart kit , but , my car is a very early 1994 500hc with different wiring, i dont have the block with 3 loops on it located near the battery,, does anyone know how to wire one up without this. I fitted the kit to a mates 1996 griff which had the block and it worked a treat. Any help would be appreciated.

You can do the same mod under the bonnet, put new relay near the alternator and take the positive supply from there, the fat connector, run two cables to the solenoid, one thin and one fat. The original wiring activates the relay which then supplies the solenoid. Exactly the same as doing it in the footwell, all parts can be bought from halfords, remember to buy a fused relay.

thanks , dave. i will check tomorow when its light. my griffith has unusual wiring , i havnt got a 100 amp fuse on the chassis rail , i can see the place for it but none fitted by tvr. There are two brown cables that run directly from the alternator to the starter motor without any fuses then a thick red cable to the battery, if there was a short there is no fuse to blow. just be a smell of burning then me sitting in a chassis with no body around me, just smoking embers smokin
