Lots of broad ranging opinions and experiences, so thought a vote might be useful to get to the bottom of it hehe

An 096 won't fit (some) Cerbs without damaging the cover.
ETA: And the terminals are the wrong way round unless you can find an 096R

Just get it bought.
The jack wobble one wouldn't fit my car.
The standard 072 with recessed lugs will. Banner is a good version of such.

I put in one of these a year ago, been good so far apart from no lip on the side near the bottom to bolt it down properly.

Come on play fair put the 086 up it fits! Dimensions exactly the same as the Yuasa 096 in fact slightly more cca's and one less Amp hour plus lots cheaper and 4 year warranty !!

In short - no.

But despite some good scoring in the poll, hearing a lot of noise about a "change in manufaturing location" and a drop off in reliability and quality as a direct result.

Rather than 'banner' it should be 'quality 072'. Suspect there are lots getting reasonable service from 072s.

If you've got a tape measure have a look at the Yuasa catalog, all the technical details are here. For those looking for a 96R they catalog it as a 086.
