Just a little more work on the engine bay - decided to redo those purple rocker covers, the state of which, with flaking paint, were now letting the car down.

Went for a neutral slate grey but do not have access to the rest of my pics just now so will post up at w/e.

My rockers are the ones with (thankfully) the cut out TVR logo - sorry not a fan of the 'printed' black and silver, adhesive backed one (which seems to be commonly on 'nearly' every Griff and Chim engine pic on Google). Not sure if this is standard or not but the cutout version seems a lot more classy imho. I know there are also some cast-in versions. Did not go for the polished ribs to ease future maintenance, esp on the near side under the plenum. This also helps the logo stand out.

In prep for the powder coating, my concern was removing the logos without damaging them. They were epoxy'd on but came off relatively easily. Nevertheless wanted to improve on them somewhat so with my architectural contacts got new ones made up in 2mm 316 stainless, mirror finish. Originals were brushed.

What do you think?

Had a few run off the same sheet off the laser cutter at the same time so if anyone interested, a few extra for sale - please drop me a quick pm/email (first come basis). Will post up on FB or PH parts later as needed.
Size is 37 x 95mm so fit straight into the rectangle recess depending on your rocker cover design. If there is interest can get more done relatively easily now.
Must say I am impressed with the quality to say the least, pics do not do them justice.

Will post up pics of the completed rockers / fitted logos et al at w/e.
Thanks

Asaad

Please see installed pics etc....

Some very minor manufacturing marks and burrs on the raw pieces (as sold), and may need some further finishing/polishing dependent on final use - pic shows polished up (with edges now slightly rounded). I preferred to polish my edges but is too labour intensive to offer - and probably a personal preference hence all items are raw mirror finish.

Bottom raw, upper polished with slightly rounded edges...

installed raw (clean straight/sharp edges)

Raw mirror finish...

Polished edges, with installed pics...

Received with thanks, although they were both bent.!! You might want to pack them both together, one on top of the other.!!

Thanks again...They look amazing

Sorry to hear that Paul.
Yours were posted first class over two weesk ago - have they just arrived!
Sounds like they may have been purposely abused in transit (even with FRAGILE marked frown - would take some force/abuse to bend them. One bent, understandable by accident, but both?
Noted re packing - thanks.

And there was your mistake.....marking them "FRAGILE"..... I am being a bit of a smart arse there, but I had a similar experience recently. I had an intake manifold gasket shipped to me in the States from the UK marked "DO NOT BEND".....talk about a red rag to a bull.....Yes it arrived with a nice crease in it despite good packing. rolleyes
