Your S2 would need to have threaded bosses fibreglassed into the doors to fit these posts.

Have you already got a pair of mirrors?

Brian.

An alternative would be to make up with a new shroud using exhaust pipe reducers like Asaad did.
Extended mirror mounts fitted and, impressed as I am with Paul's stainless mount covers I came up with an alternative..........

1. Purchase a pair of these (originals in foreground)
Note they are larger than the normal "Henry Vac" size

2. Set about them with a hacksaw and a Stanley knife

3. The sacrificial mount will need a little bit of modification to fit through them

4.Fit 'em smile

mirrors needed painting, no green paint so thought I'd see how silver looked, it'll do for now

Useful as the funny little Allen key is that Brian supplies I found one of these ideal for re-fitting............. Ball hex bits
Holy thread resurrection.

What are the plastic reducers and where did they come from.
I picked up one of Griffos kits last year and am now fitting it but had to sacrifice one of the plastic covers to get a mirror off.

Got my kit and fitted - Thanks Brian. My Tips for fitting, Be sure to extend the cables as they can be a bit short. I used terminal blocks with a piece of 3 core flex. Removing the mirrors was easy once I realised you could lift the black cover and tap the mount round with a hammer and a flat blade screw driver in the metal notch, in order to reveal the hex screw in an accessible position. Finally removing the old boss I took a set of grips, grabbed and turned, both came out easy. I spent ages trying to find the screw and living the cover thinking the special angled hex tool would somehow get access, it doesn't and turning the mount around allowed easy access to the screw with a normal Allen key.

I Am looking at the cover now and see the suggestion got the Henry hoover, kinda like that, but I don't see what needs to be done to the mount, can anyone elaborate?

I've enlarged the photo, gone a bit grainy but maybe a little clearer where I removed metal because the vacuum hose fitting is thicker than the original plastic cover
