Afraid you are not going to get something 'off the shelf', it's going to have to be made. I don't have any pics of the exhaust but when mine had the original Pinto engine it had a down pipe that went into a silencer under the drivers seat and then out towards the back of the car, over the drive shaft and another silencer back box. Cheers Steve

What about half a 280 exhaust? They don't have a cross over pipe. That way you'll only need to modify a front pipe?

This is a ACT system.

I wish, that's just a photo from ACT, it wouldn't fit my car. Well the back but might but not the downpipes or manifolds as my car isn't normal! (Even by TVR standards!)

According to the Wedge Bible 200s after chassis number DH5212-2L used half a 2.8 system. This must only be for the drop head as my fixed head is a later number but doesn't have the necessary bumps the the body floor in front of the seats to allow the exhaust to pass between the body and the chassis.

Do you have a DH or FHC? Stick some photos up I'd love to see another 200 as there's not many around.

If anyone's still looking for pics of a standard 200 exhaust I could get some one night this week? Factory system still in relatively good condition on mine, and from memory I think it looks different to the 280 system, even if you only use the one side

That would be good. Does it have a standard cast FORD manifold?

No the manifold is a tubular thing, 4 into 2 into 1, I'll try and get some pics tonight smile

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought there would be room for a silencer above the trailing arm. Is there only one silencer?

in the second to last picture you can see what i can only assume is another silencer, slightly larger diameter than the rest of the exhaust, just in front and above the diff

Hi

I am working on my Tas 200 at present which is fairly original, so I will take some pics of the exhaust system tomorrow and post them up.

Good stuff. If the pair of you have cameras to hand could you take some pictures of the engine mounts for me? Also do your cars have bracing at 45° to the chassis at the front of the engine? Pictures would be grand.

My car has had a V6 fitted but I'm considering outing it back to a pinto as it's such a rare car.

will snap some pictures tomorrow of those areas for you smile

from memory i would say those ones, alloy pinto mounts from an rs2000, they're definitely circular and they definitely don't have the metal cup around them like these ones, although they look functionally identical:
