Go for 4 core as opposed to 3 - more cooling capability.
£150 should be about right - maybe cheaper oop north.

Thanks for all the replies, waiting for a quote this morning; I told the guy I thought it was a Landy core but he kept mumbling about a special, I think he might be trying to stitch me up, wait and see time, cheers, John.

I had my rad re-cored in Luton using Range Rover internals. Engine now runs at 85 all day even on the hottest days.

I have this outfit saved in my favourites folder for the time when I'll need a recore;

http://www.coolexperts.co.uk/motor-vehicle/

I've never used them (yet) so don't know how they are to deal with or their prices, but might be worth a call to enquire.

Mine was done by Boston Radiators in Lincs. Cost was about £180 two years ago IIRC

+1 Boston Radiators re cored my rad in 2011, still going strong! They did it on an exchange basis.

Cannot remember the price but remember as they kept a re-cored Griffith rad in stock it was a very quick 2 day turnaround.

The delivery driver even collected my old rad when he dropped off the re-cored one. A painless process!

Just got the rad. back from Shorpe radiators after a recore, it was blocked with lime scale, I never thought of using distilled water; you learn something new everyday. Thanks for all the help guys, I have marked up Boston Radiators for my next venture.

I looked up who I used in Luton using Range Rover internals. They're called Autorads in 141 Portland Rd. cost was £180 plus VAT. Rad has been excellent and car never gets anywhere near hot even on warmest days.
