where do i get a new AFM?

my AFM has just died. usual symptoms. driving along car cuts out. I stop, the pumps prime ok, engine starts then immediately dies again. disconnect the AFM and it fires up and runs ok but lumpy so deffo the AFM.
I got a cheap one off ebay a couple of years ago when this last happened and it didn't work at all - the supplier swapped it for free and the second one didn't work either. Mark Adams came to the rescue and was an absolute star selling me one of his proper ones as I needed it for a sprint a day later but that one has now died.
So where do it get a decent AFM from without paying the £200 plus VAT charged by the usual suppliers? there does not seem to be an alternative car part on any of the griff/chim lists.
