Car been in storage for a while, first clutch stuck to flywheel (still appears to be) - pedal had hydraulic pressure up to few weeks back when i tried it - slack for first inch then ok) - went to move car today and pedal fell to floor with no resistance...

I suspect master cylinder piston seal got bored of lack of exercise and self destructed, however the hydraulics could have drained through hose leak

I am trying to check fluid level, however cylinder has a stupid cheap tin top which seems more willing to break up tan turn when anything like a wrench is applied...anyway, cutting to the chase, if i have to change the cylinder, how is it done? any DIY videos? - the bottom nut/bolt isnt even visible under the cylinder let alone accessible, is it captive on the cylinder and unbolt via pedal box only? - is it easily accessed without removing any of rest of pedal assembly - any tips?

I see the TVR approved parts supplier says 'rod(s) has to be matched whatever that means

thx

edit: got reservoir top off now and fluid level normal, so i think i am looking for 'how to' guide on cylinder exchange

cheers
