I have just managed to get a set of the original OZ Cross spoke alloys for my Griff wink. The issue is where can i get the tool to get the centre caps off?

Cheers....

To be honest unless you can find someone who still has a tool and no wheels you'll struggle. A machine shop could make one on a lathe easily enough. Think there might be different key patterns too?

It might be worth sending a message to The AJP Griff on here and ask him if he would make you one (or has a spare). He made a machined copy of the tool from my original one.

The ones I've seen are all the same with a single pin on the outside edge. As Andy says, it wouldn't be hard for a machine shop to make you one.
The real question is who you use to restore the wheels to their 1990s best...

I have an original set I got from ebay, still need to reassemble them - I found recommendations for this guy http://www.the-polisher.com/ to polish the lips, and it's very very good, smooth mirror shine.
I got stainless 12 sided bolts (originals were 10 point) and zinc plated hex serrated flanged nuts off ebay. I must get on with building them up.
The less said about the local powder coater I used the better, but Mike the polisher was excellent. I think if I was advising somebody wanting to refurb a set I'd say to just ship the lot to him smile

I wondered if there has been any update to this thread? I also have a set of OZ split rims which need refurbishing and was thinking of sending them to Mick the Polisher. My wheels need all of the bolts replacing and the locking nuts on the centre caps also need to be replaced. Thanks.

I got a new set of bolts for the centre cover on here a few years ago ... can't remember who made them . they were in the parts for sale bit

Those on E-bay are ridiculously cheap (provided by are not buckled ) ... a good polished set with centres are worth over £1k ...15 " fronts are a bit of a problem but maintains originality smile

Is there anything you can do if you find your OZ wheels buckled? How are they trued up?

I've got a set off my '92 400...They are in lovely condition...I've fitted 330mm discs and BIG 4-pot Brembos, so I needed 17" rims instead

Oops! I didn't read the last posts.!!!
