As in the title, I’m looking for a petrol tank to use as a cut and shut with mine.
I started a topic a couple of years ago about extending a petrol, tank and im finally getting round to doing it.
Plan is get a spare tank. Perhaps from someone using LPG :rolleyes
Chop the top off mine, chop a longer top off the spare and weld them together.
My tank is 400mm high, and there is almost 200 me of useable space above it,
My fuel economy isn’t brilliant due to turbo and the addictive exhaust sound so I want a bigger tank.

Anyone got a spare?

I had a later steel one with a loose baffle, kept it in the corner for about 6 years then binned it!

It’s alloy
Bit more of a pain for the welding as I’ll have to get a tig set.

Do a drawing and have a new one made.
Have used a guy in Wales who makes very nice tanks for very reasonable rates.
Cost of a TIG welder would cover it.
+ sell your existing tank to someone whose steel one has rusted.

Makes a very nice tank. Not polished or anything overly bling but you will no doubt be adding carpet anyway.
Tell him Southways sent you as he has done several tanks for us.
