Spotted some drips on the garage floor unfortunately. So had the best look underneath I can, confused with where it's coming from.

Parallel with the bell housing, dripping onto chassis rail and exhaust. Photo is as good as I could do. I've checked clutch and brake fluids so not them.? Gearbox oil?

Any ideas? Thanks.

Almost certainly your rocker box gasket although if your valley gasket hasn't been renewed for many years it may be that. It may have rotted through allowing oil to seep and run down the side of the engine.

The valley gasket is only a couple of years old, so fingers crossed it's the rocker cover.
will make my day if it is.

Thanks for the help.

Be careful when removing the rocker box and gasket that you don’t drop the steel spacer from the gasket into the valley!

I always peel the gasket from the cover and leave it on the engine as i remove the cover. Then I pull out each spacer with a magnet before lifting the gasket clear.

Hence why it makes sense to stud the top 2 fasteners on each bank saves a lot of grief the spacers stay put headache
