1999 Griffith 500 ignition timing....
Discussion
Morning boys,
I need to know 3 fairly simple things... (well they would be simple if it was anything other than a TVR)
What is the standard ignition setting? suspect something like 8 deg BTDC, I take vacuum advance disconnected and blocked as a given.
Where is the reference pointer on the front cover? I believe it is seen by shining the strobe on the crank pulley between the passenger side exhaust and the PAS pump. I did try looking over the winter, but have since made the pulley markings a lot easier to see, but haven't had a strobe light connected since...
What is the best (Haynes?) manual that covers the engine (and would probably answer question 2)...
I have the SH bible 1 & 2, fairly certain that question 1 is answered in there, but things may have changed since hence question 1.
Regards,
Brian and a Green Griffith 500
