I am currently waiting for the AA.
Driving home
Sudden loss of power , luckily on safe road. Coasted to a halt. Suspect immobilizer issue. Won't reset. Low level chirp from car and then alarm sounds. When I try to reset. Any ideas of where to start to look as I'm only 10 minutes from home.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated
Many thanks

You can't leave it at that!

Was it the immobilizer or something more, ahem, embarrassing, like out of fuel?

No it turned out to be a loose battery terminal connection.
I discounted that to start with as the battery was replaced a couple of months ago and I assumed it had been done properly. In hindsight I should of gone straight to it.
I’ve never had a car literally die whilst I’ve been driving it and it be the battery, and in all honesty am glad it was that and something not more serious.
The alarm was really playing up and I was convinced it was that, but in hindsight It couldn’t of had any / hardly any power to it.
Many thanks

Did you find it or have to suffer the embarrassment of the AA man just giving it a thump?
