As you might see from my previous posts, I'm sorting out a few bits on the Griffith. Recent retirement has afforded me more time now to mess around in the garage and with the car.

I'm about to change the rear light clusters on the 1992 Griff as mine have discoloured a bit and have a small crack in one of them.
I'm replacing them with like for like new ones I bought a few years back that are still in the box. I was wondering if anyone had done this and if so, what is the best way to take of the lip on the new lights without risking cracking them ?

Also, I notice the later Griffs had sealant around the clusters whilst the pre cats didn't. Was that sealant added due to water ingress or was there a different reason TVR started doing that ? The sealant of course being the bit I'm most likely to f**k up.

As always, thanks for any pointers.

With mine I used a dremel, you could use an angle grinder with a samding disc as well. Just keep taking small amounts off.

I just used a grinder with cutting disc, I think the sealant was sikaflex 221 not too bad to use.
