My job for this winter to fix the dripping coming from the front crank seal. I assume it’s a rad out job?? - and any helpful tips would be welcomed.

No need to remove rad , remove bolted cross brace to allow pulley access once pulley removed probably easier to flick out seal and renew from underneath the vehicle , inspect pulley to make sure seal lip as not wore deep groove into pulley frown

Standard right-hand thread. It should be pretty tight.

A tip from Simon. If your crankshaft pulley as a worn groove in it, set the oil seal forward a few mm using a bearing fixer, (Locktite type stuff) so the oil seal doesn't run in the worn groove.

Yes but be aware yours will have been drilled during engine balancing so cannot just be replaced. An RV8 engine builder should be able to supply the new part and drill it to match yours. It will not be perfect but will be close enough.

Note: the crank bolt is 24mm A/F.

Yes of course. I feared that but hoped there was another answer 😄 Hopefully I won’t need one but let’s wait and see. Thanks for the info in any case.
