Blower has packed up suddenly.
Power at point where the blower wires go into the inner wing, so looks like a faulty motor or connection?
The question is.. how do you access the blower?
I can see a fibre glass panel with 2 black self tappers. I took out the screws but they don’t hold the panel on as I thought ( I guess it’s holding the blower to the panel?)
Does that panel come off with a bit of persuasion to lift out the motor, or am I in the wrong place?!
Cheers

The bad news is, it is a headlight out job.

So when the headlight is removed, it’s a bit of all creatures great and small to reach it?

With the headlight out, it is easy with plenty access.
Getting the light in and out is not the easiest job in the world.
I found the blower motor in about an inch of old mud....

How old is your car? Later cars have the blower motor in the inner wing to the left of the fuse box.

It’s a pre cat but was repaired with a 500 front end. Therefore I think it will be in the inner wing?
If so, does the panel where the wires go through prise off (siliconed on?).

I haven’t, fortunately, had to do the job but it appears to be largely held in place with silicone. It is of course hidden by the carpet but extends from in front of the door hinges to the front bulkhead.
Good luck.

There are some of my photos in this thread Chris. The photo of what you should find when you remove the headlight is the one you need. If you want any explanations let me know. I'm happy to talk it through.

Just an update...
Had a good look in the rats nest with the battery removed and a good light.
The spade connectors that attach to the connector block ( on mine anyway) had been pulled off when I replaced the battery.
Working now. Just thought I’d share my findings!

Well done, you fixed it.

No. I thought it would be behind the “panel “ that the heater wires go through but I don’t think it is a panel?
Took out the 2 black self tappers and tried to remove it but it looks like it is a continuation of the floor??
Thankfully realised the wires weren’t attached so stopped there.
Mines a bit of a Frankenstein- pre cat been repaired with a 500 front so it could be anywhere?!!

If your heater blower works then best left alone.

I wouldn't call it Frankenstein, I’m jealous as you’ve got the best of both, the 500 nose has much better (& needed airflow), slightly more upright rad & improved heater blower location (I know because I moved my Precat blower to the 500 location) and you could retro fit PAS and the rear anti-roll bar. I bought a Precat for the tuning freedom (to reduce shunting), no restrictive cats & revvier engine. (To be fair I know 500s don’t need to be revved as hard but I don't want to start that debate).
