Oil pressure reading - earth issue or?
Discussion
Just getting car back on the road after a few years and about to fit new dash. The gauge has recently stayed at circa 60 psi when started and does move with engine speed but not much. Replaced sender and also rovergauge software shows all ok with pressure and reads fine when running and engine speed change.
Do I have gauge issue or a new duff sender or earth issue at dash end, other gauges all ok? Thanks in advance.

Slightly confused as rover-gauge does not show oil pressure.
Are you sure you have fitted the correct sender.
Is the sender fitted the type with two terminals? if so then one of those terminals may be the earth.
Does the gauge light up with side lights? If so then the earth at the gauge is OK.

Brain must be playing trick on me on the software, thought showed up before I put off the road.,,getting old.
Is a single wire, so assume drawing an earth from somewhere, will order a new sender as was an aftermarket one that made no difference to what was happening which made me think earth issue, no other issues and lights up fine when light put on.
Thanks.
