I remember when PH was a much livelier place than it is these days.

I guess the OP just made the mistake of finding the wrong TVR specialist.

BTW, I bought my Griff new in 1998 and it is still absolutely lovely, having been beautifully looked after by Scole Engineering for most of its life.
