I have just put a 12inch sub in a box on the back shelf on my chim, its sounds the nuts and didn't have to make a single hole, But was wondering if anybody has put one in the boot and does the sound travel ? have found an excellent place to put the amp behind the spare wheel again no holes required and no loss of space. Was wondering though how the sub would sound in the boot any thoughts or comments?

Bass will travel, thats why when people drive past your house all you hear is the thump, to get a better sound some kind of porting into the cabin is a good idea. Halfords do some nice alloy ports I was thinking of using in the S, what make sub/amp do you have? I was considering a 8” but may not bother, the local yobs seem to like to help themselves so don’t want to find it broken into. Be careful leaving things like that on display, my mini was done 9 times because of the stereo.
