OK, so he has added £6000 to the price, but what needed doing to the car before he could sell it on? If you take in to account a possible service, tyres, warranty, paint (nose cones usually have lots of stone chips as do the mirrors), bit of profit, bit of a margin to negotiate over, it's not quite so bad - these people do need to make a living, that is their job after all!! ================ Graham and Rosie Edited by Graham and Rosie on Sunday 14th January 00:37

If anyone thinks that buying from a franchised dealer will get you a better car then think again! I made that mistake and nearly eight weeks later I am still trying to get things sorted out. When I finally have the car sorted out properly I will be naming the offending dealer. There now follows a plug for Peninsula Automotive of Cullompton in Devon who would appear to know far more about maintaining a TVR properly than the dealer I purchased from.

jmn I live in the same part of the world as Peninsula - does it follow that before I buy a Griff I should get it checked out by them even if it is from a franchised dealer? Garry

Well, I've got build no.1 Griff 500 up for sale to fund my racing antics. The car is totally sorted and has never let me down. Ocean Haze and full leather. FTVRSH etc. One of the very few Griffs TVR have put together properly! Make me an offer and I might just part with it

Errrr... no. Even if I was desperate I'd still be looking for 16k+ Rarity value and the car is mint. Good luck finding one but be careful you don't end up spending another 5K after buying a dog!

i have had a look at a couple of griffs mostly l or m reg with about 50k on the clock at non tvr dealers for around £15.ooo but i would prefer to buy from a honest private seller instead of paying some dealer a vast amount of proffit

Well, I'm honest, the mileage is a lot lower, the car has full history and receipts and I can get any amount of Tivvers to vouch for it. Still interested? Check out: http://www.o-boyle.com/racing/silverstoneaugust/race.htm

had a look at the site and yes the car looks great and im sure that rarity value means a lot but unfortunatly it is just out of my price range it would have to be less than 16.000 as i dont think the wife will let me spend more than that if we can disscuss this e mail me on cavmin'tesco .net with any extra info also where about in uk are you
