MURPH 7355 , Gorgeous looking car , still say Dark Blue is the best , your griff looks very similar in colour to my old one ( Mallard feb 1996 Model) is your one the same colour ?

Thanks (not been mine for very long - just over a month).

It's Starmist Blue. Looks almost black in some lights, but a lovely deep blue in most.

If it ever stops raining here I'll get the car out and take some better photos. But a few others here

Hi Murph , that colour is fab , didnt realise it was Starmist, will check out those pics . Loved that Plexi Daytona , my late father had a Gorgous Gold 68 Ghibli 4.7 in 1973-75 , on his death in Set 75 my mum sold it to one of his friends who also had a Daytona , think it was a blue one , he used to keep them side by side in his garage in sussex .

What year is it , what are the alloys as they really suit it and the car under the sheet in the garage looks interesting , is it the Daytona ?

It's a 2000.

The wheels are Compomotive M06s, 18" at the rear and 17" at the front. When I was looking for a Griff, the one thing I wasn't keen on with std 500s was the Estoril wheels (the earlier 4.3 model's 5 spokes were much more to my taste). I was lucky this car came up as I love these wheels (and for many other reasons - it's a great car with some choice mods and very well looked after).

This is under the cover. Have owned it for over 14yrs now and it'll be a car I never sell. They're massive fun.

The Daytona was sold recently sadly. Wasn't using it enough and the funds will come in handy for some dull stuff I have going on. Couldn't waste it all though, hence scratching the Griffith itch (and very glad I have) biggrin

Yes , ime not over keen on the Std Griff alloys either . Those Compomotives are a vast improvement ,best wheels i have seen on a Griff, but very pricey i would imagine . Shame the Daytonas gone , there can be very few Plexi RHD ones around . My Dads pals one was a Lovely Light Met Blue , he had it from approx 74-77 , he used to comute every day in up to Londons west end , which ruined its engine . It was also going rotten underneath , so he got rid of it . As a car mad 14 yr old I remember going down to the underground car park in about 1976 where it sat dureing the daytime to get some papers out for him, he used to keep a large jerry can of petrol in the boot and i remember the petrol smell well and the lovely blue leather Hammock ? style seats.
He had a 275 before the Daytona and he told me a few years ago that at a Party held at his house , the conversation turned to cars and a particularly stunning girl who was into cars thought that he was pulling her leg when he said that he had both the best Ferrari AND the best Maserati in his garage . Apparently she was gobsmaked on opening the Garage door to be confronted by these 2 drop dead gorgeous shapes.
Re the Seven , very nice , but never have appealed to me , ile have this...... instead.
Or at least i used to.

Back to Griff colours, in response to current trends, has anyone got a Griff in white. Used to have a TR6 in white, looked stunning.

Macar - gorgeous bike on your profile page and love the orange griff too. Personally I think that California Sage is a great colour and I also like the Apache Pearl. Mine's Chiltern Green/Parchment and I will endeavour to get some pictures up when the sun comes out. Don't think there are many in Chiltern Green.

Is "red glow pearl" and "cherry pearl" the same as this rosso pearl?

Looks like it to me.

For what its worth, this is mine. Painted in VW Jazz Blue Pearl. Havent seen another TVR in this colour. The pearl in the blue paint is very subtle. The wheels are metallic painted as well, in fact there's more metal flake in the wheel paint than in the body paint. I think the black hood and smoked headlight covers co-ordinate well with the wheel colour too.

The inside continues the blue n black theme with blue seat inserts, blue instrument faces and blue door trim. Theres also a bit of alloy in there - dash face and Leven bits and pieces to brighten it up a bit.

There is an alarming number of Griffs here, in the dry, with their roofs on.

Sort it out chaps.
