Ken, that is that absolute pits.

I hope you don't mind me asking but bearing in mind they didn't actually get your car, may I be as bold to ask where you are in case my little beauty needs a little more observation over the next fews days???? With mine out on the street there ain't much in the way of protection. having said thatthe one benefit of having such a strong fan base for these cars is that the chance of resale in this country must surely be very low?? But blowing the thing up is taking the biscuit innit???

Good luck with the insurance side of things.

Ken - what a waste some mindless idiot just because they couldn't get the car they didn't want anyone else to have it. My wife's Puma was stolen from the Ford garage where it was being serviced (they didn't tell us until we went to pick it up 24hrs after it went missing oh and they forgot to tell the police !!) the police found the car 2 weeks later burnt out along with all her personal effects in a
Mc D's carpark.

I'm in Isleworth (on the border with Twickenham), apparently a desirable area. I've sold my place though and will be moving to Crowthorne in Berkshire in 5-6 weeks. This will hopefully do something to redress the balance insurance wise!

These mindless deeds are often done by people who will never own a nice car through hard earned dosh, and the only fair punishment seems to be to chop their arms off, rather than send them on an exotic holiday

Having seen the pics there are no words left to say.

You have the sympathy of every Pistonheader I'm sure.

The jailing for life of people who have done things like this should however be brought forward. Either that or tenminutes alone with you and Mr Baseball Bat.

Notice the precision parking, as far to the left in my space as possible to avoid door contact with my neighbours Jag that incidentally ended up with blisters the size of your fist all over the paint. It was close to blowing up too as he leapt in through the passenger side (he'd driven into his space),let off the handbrake and knocked it into neutral to roll it back and try to save it to some extent. He said the heat inside his car was extreme.

Sorry to hear your news. I just hope the insurance company doesn't add to your woes by messing you about and sorts it quickly giving you a fair price, rather than some insulting offer.

Its difficult to know what to say. When mine was vandalised at least I still had the car and after a couple of hundred quid it was back again.

I am gutted for you. I hope all works out with the insurance.

As for the punishment for these kind of people I have made my views plainly obvious in previous threads, but I like the idea of a PH Hitsquad who would dish our own brand punishment to these tossers.

Cheers

Ken,

Unfortunately, seeing words typed up on here will not let you know just how truly we all sympathise with you.

There's nothing we can really say and (as I know from a similar, but far less dramatic, experience) the fact that you are OK is probably the last thing on your mind, but it IS the most important thing.

Obviously, these people have not given any thought to how you might feel about their actions. I suspect they wouldn't even care if they did stop and think about it. Let's just hope they get what they deserve.

I guess one piece of good news out of all this is that you are moving to what is a desirable, quiet and safe area, where I hope you'll be very happy.

Paul.

Utter fecking w*nkers..!!

I hate this sort of thing, and whoever posted above is probably right about it being kids. Especially as we're just coming to the end of the Easter holidays.

If only it had actually gone up with them still inside...

Glad you are ok though, and the insurance will be able to sort everything out for you. Hopefully be back on the road in no time. MV did have a late Griffith. Not sure if it's still there - might be worth giving them a call

Speechless.

It's just so depressing to see the end product of someone's hard graft and saving, not to mention a piece of "art", end up like that. But then again, as someone has already said, the people who did this wouldn't see that if it came up and smacked them in the face. Selfishness.

Keith.

heart rending picures
You could reflect on why we are so affected. After all it is just a car some would say - NO! This is a unique piece of engineering which has been crafted by people who do their utmost to deliver sensational machines. These cars are not perfect, but then show me one human who is. This is why these cars have personality and soul, and this is why such pictures makes me really sad.
Must pop out to hug that large tree - my car live on the road....
Best regards to all!
Off to Rome for a long week-end tomorrow.

Unbeleivable! Makes me think about installing a cctv setup overlooking the driveway, linked up to a recorder. At least some justice might be on the cards if the little shits were caught on film. Theres a few companies doing this stuff quite cheap now. Trouble is they will probably get up to similar again until caught.

Sorry to say, this has more relevance to me than the passing on of some over privileged old dear. You have my sympathy. The mindless morons who commit acts such as this never seem to recognise the pain and suffering they inflict. "Its insured innit?". Sadly they often have little of value themselves, either monetary or sentimental, that they could be deprived of in order to teach them a lesson, and the Law rarely derives them of their liberty, one thing that they might value. Where is Charles Bronson when he's needed?
