Exactly. Way over priced if you ask me.

Dont get me wrong, being a Griff owner i would love to see these cars fetching big money but they are what they are at the end of the day and i cant see that money in them. Hope i`m wrong mind.

Does anyone know much about history of this car?

It seems like reasonably good value but has been sticking for a while. Anyone have any ideas why this might be?
I agree with carsy, I think it is overpriced, I don't think it is the colour although yellow is not to everyone's taste....!

As an owner of two Griffs, I would like to see prices sky rocket and demand to go up but let's be honest the market for TVRs is limited and there are plenty around. Punters on the street love them but they are scared sh*tless to own one because of the reputation for reliablity and not that many people can afford to run a 'fun' car.

It looks a beautiful car from the advert and worth a look but I wouldn't pay that price. At the end of the day the dealer has to shift it, he has got his cashflow to think about. It's been on the market a long time as have most of the others, if you like it, make him an offer and leave him to think about it.

Bar the one that's essentially the same but has better aerodynamic stability at speed, a bigger boot, a curvier rear end and heater controls that work. wink

Don't panic girls, but it has been brought to our attention (thread on the Chim forum by a prominent MCC member) that there are curently more Griffs for sale in the PH classies than there are Chimaera's....

(stifles snigger and waits for every reason under the sun why this is a good sign)

errrr . . . hate to disappoint you as well, but it's still a 3:1 ratio on Autotrader! wink
It's a well known fact that most Griff owners don't use Autotrader so this is clearly a meaningless statistic whistle

Getting back to the handling issues. My Griff is totally std, on it's original Billies and Bridgestone SO2's yet even at 150mph it feels solid, doesn't weave or jiggle about. (privat road obviously!)
Did I read that right? You have a '96 car on original tyres - 17 year old tyres? yikes

And then proceed to go 1.5 leptons in it - what's your life insurance like? yikesyikes

I managed to get myself a matching set of brand spanking new Bridgestone RE002s for front & rear earlier this year - well recommended. thumbup
