Episode 30 is out. There is a joke in the episode that people who don’t watch Mighty Car Mods won’t get.

I’ve just watched all of episode 30 and I need to correct myself, as there are 3 jokes not one where people need to of watched Mighty Car Mods to understand the jokes.

I have to admit, they were lost on me, perhaps I need to add a new subscription on YouTube.

Finally, some oily bits !

With it being pancake day last week it is a good job honey wasn't mistakenly used as an assembly lube and mineral oil didn't end up on the dinner plate.

Just wait until you've lost about a week of your life to a new YT addiction before you thank me. In summary to those yet to try MCM or Skid Factory, MCM is more "regular guys" and starts out very ghetto, Skid Factory is a spin off of sorts, and builds are generally to a much higher standard, with a lot more technical information.

There are some great series to follow, and the MCM guys have put together some fantastic feature-length films. Definitely, for instance watch Kei to the City https://youtu.be/Cu6h5IoqkoA before embarking on this https://youtu.be/3Cu795wWoqQ

That said, the MCM guys do call in the big guns for some really interesting high quality builds. Supercharged classic mini series. Vtec classic mini series, Dastun 240Z series, 10 Second Sleeper (single) or How to build a Sleeper (single, ish).

Apologies for the deviation, but I'm sure Rich and the dedicated followers of Binky won't mind. I have both a BOM mug and a Chopped keyring. I'm not project-car-ist.

I've long needed something to fill the voids between Binky episodes, I got into B is for Build for a while but found some of the workmanship too shoddy, quite the opposite of the Binky stuff.

There's only so much wood carving, resin casting, zit popping and dash cam footage you can watch before you cry out for something new so I really appreciate these pointers.

From a Binky point of view I was close to hitting the comments with a rant about not going for a Beams 3S-GE, I'm so glad I stayed to the end before expressing my unfounded concerns smile

That’s a joke. Al from the Skid Factory uses that brand. I don’t they have any intentions of using it.

I just started watching this yesterday, I'm on episode 16 having my mind blown by the fabrication of the heater box.

Honestly, even though many people mentioned it to me I think it's been undersold. It's utterly, utterly glorious.

I've had a nose about the internet with no joy.
Does anyone on here have a patron subscription to BOM and know how to view the videos they post early?
Or is it a facebook thingy I'm missing out on?

I would assume they send a link out to patrons to view it early?

There’s an Escargot episode coming later today

Not just pay the £1.50 or whatever it is for access via Patreon?

The video is on YouTube early, but they don't make it visible or searchable the first day. You can access it via a link that they email to the members.

Thank you very much biggrin

Admittedly I had only got the patron thing signed up yesterday, so wondered if I was being too eager
