It's been ages ! I'd been worried about them, thought maybe they had health problems or something had gone a bit more wrong than usual.
All quiet on the Escargo front too...
Brunning is active on Twitter if you need regular confirmation they are not dead. I assume regular work and family life gets in the way - plus the Binky videos must be labour intensive to film and edit so no surprise they are few and far between (quality over quantity and all that). All quiet on the Escargo front too...

If I were getting £10k a month from Patreon I’d probably stretch the project out too.
Mumma mia, it's money money money.to be fair i would imagine it's costing more than that given the man hours in fabricating, editing, researching etc etc.
do you expect them to entertain you for free?

I firmly believe that if they can make money from their talent and skill then that’s great.
I know it’s cynical, but I would imagine the vast majority of their patreons will stop once the project is finished.
I would imagine Binky will continue until another project is established and as popular.
Which is absolutely fair enough.
In the meantime here’s a video of project Binky running and driving four months ago.

Once again I am totally onside with the BOM guys making money from this.
Yeah, I hope they are doing nicely out of this, its been a very interesting project that I feel lucky to be able to tag along on, I have learnt stuff, had a laugh and now have two mugs and a T shirt
Myself and my brother always get a little too excited when a new BOM video drops, loads of Youtubers do a great job getting content out, must be pretty hard work keeping it up and its not always high quality, but you just know a BOM video is going to be worth the wait.
I really enjoyed the truck videos as well, looking forward to the 18th now, only a week, will grab a beer and some snacks and watch it in my man cave on my fking mahoosive telly.
Weird how YouTube has taken over from broadcast TV in a lot of ways, my latest is a guy building log cabins, BushRadical, not quite BOM but its very restful.

Question is can they get good content out of making it road legal (if they want to put it on the road)
They have spent an awful lot of effort on stuff to make it suitable for daily use.I would be surprised if this wasn’t a consideration from the start.
It will be a shame for it to end up on a Q plate though.
Maybe they will take the well trodden route of just not updating the DVLA (Cheaper tax innit)

For such a public car? I highly doubt it and I would be incredibly disappointed if that was so. I don't see the big deal of having a Q plate either, it's not as if the build quality is ever in any doubt. NMNeil said:

Unlikely. Can't see them modifying that exhaust system to fit cats, or trying to find space under the bonnet for an EGR valve.Just to say there had been a comment in YouTube, explaining that they had got the car running, as it was needed at a car show, and did their best to get it there, but that meant having to re-do the work to get it record it for us mere viewers.
Early on in the build they were discussing what needed to be kept to avoid a Q plate, so I THINK they are ontop of this, and will not need a Q plate, just the original plate for the mini, but I could be wrong. (That said, I might go and apply for any jobs in the IVA departments near them, just incase their car needs testing)
At the end of the day, hurry up weekend, I have some YouTube upload that I need to watch. Take your time BOM, get it done right, and thank you for the vids!
