I'll give a bit of back ground first.

I had a misfire which turned on the limp home mode, on checking plugs i found a tip missing, changed plug still misfiring. Codes where misfire all cylinders, and individual cylinder which lead me to do the following.

Changed coil still misfiring.
I walnut blasted the intakes as they were very coked up, still misfiring.
All injectors were sent away and overhauled all were ok but come back brand new
HPFP also changed still misfiring.

Compression checked and no compression cylinder Two

Stripped head off and found two bent valves

Stripped head completely down, two new valves, new oil seals, cleaned and lapped all valves in.

New head gasket, new bolts etc

All Timing correct

All Back together

Started up first time, but didn't let it run long as i had filled it with coolant.

Filled and bleed coolant

Went to start, turns over but doesn't start, no codes what so ever, everything looks correct on my computer fuel pressure etc. have fuel and spark. Throttle body percentags all correct.

Changed Map sensor and camshaft sensors still no difference.

However.

If i remove all the induction side, sensor as well it will run, go figure. With the camshaft sensor still plugged in but not in situ it will try to run but won't, so have looked into the wiring. whilst looking at the Bentley manual i have started looking at the sensor wiring and have found that what the manual says isn't what i have on my camshaft sensor, two pins bell out but the third pin doesn't correspond to the pin out on the ecu wiring. Should be a yellow wire but on the pin on the ecu is a white wire

Removing indivdual sensors does throw up codes which i can clear once plugged back in.

Fully charged battery, enough fuel but no running.

I've thought about crank sensor but seeing as it runs with the inductino off i can't see there being an issue. Don't want to keep throwing parts at it

Any further advice on what i can check before i hand it over to a mini specialist which is my last resort

The fact it started and you still have spark and fuel, suggest flooded or spark is at the wrong time.

Blocked airfilter? (As it runs when induction side removed.)

Well to put an end to this thread

Timing was 180 degrees out

Having used the pin in the fly wheel when taking it apart i must have used the wrong hole.

Although I had the pistons at 90 degrees and double checked once the head was off. But lesson learnt

I even checked when i put it together.turning it over by hand but swapped the cam position and started straight up.
