Hi,

I've installed some mini sport poly bushes to the rear subframe of my 1969 mini. The attachment bracket are now 10mm to wide for the car. Has anyone had this problem before? I'm not sure if I've installed them the correct way round, it's the front ones of the rear subframe. The lip of the poly bush is on the inside not the out side, is this correct. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Pop up some pictures, can’t quite visualise where you mean. The trunnions changed in about 76.
Mines a 69 as well so we should be able to work it through

Evening everyone, just signed up to ask the very same question, probably got plenty more to ask in the future as rebuilding a classic min. I have attached a photo of what is being asked , one side of the bush is wider than the other, does it go on the outside or on the inside of the frame?.

If it's a '69 car it should be using 2 piece mounts for both the from and rear trunnions. The 1 piece shown in the post above is for post 76 cars.

These are the correct ones for a 69 car for all 4 trunnions. I'd use these or UK made rubber ones also from minispares

I've seen them fitted both ways, but as posted above minispares shows the lip on the outside. Be sure to put them the SAME WAY or there could be problems with the subframe being held and aligned properly.
