Can anyone help ? A small leak front passenger side when the car has been standing cold. It's not my aircon, because we have to keep topping the coolant reservoir. The car has been to two mechanics, it been pressure tested when running.
I have looked on YouTube & they were pressure testing when engine is cold ?
Has anyone else had the same problem ?

What age mini is it? And is it right near the front near the bumper or slightly further back under the engine?

2010, it's abit further back from the radiator, when the engine is hot & everything must expand & contract's when cold when the leak happens ;-)

You can do a pressure test when cold and engine not running.

It could be the thermostat housing - they are well known for it, also some of the hoses can chafe on the gearbox cable linkages. It shouldn’t be too hard to find tho, I’m surprised two garages have failed to locate it

The standard coolant reservoir bottle is known to fail at the perimeter seam/weld on some minis.

Thank you, I am making a list for my mechanic, with all the checks that he can make :-)
