Mud flaps are Tuffrok flaps, gloss black with white tuff rok lettering.
The steps are Prospeed sliders with step inserts.
Excellent if expensive...
which sums up the car really...
Thanks, I've been looking for flaps like that for ages. And I've been eyeing up the prospeed sliders too, but really can't justify them. How much of a pain were they to fit?The steps are Prospeed sliders with step inserts.

Nice to see one in such original condition!
My Dad's first Land-Rover was an 88" Series 3, T reg but otherwise identical to this.
It's completely original - I'm loving it. I have added soundproofing and carpets, and some replacement seats of the same type fitted (deluxe dont you know). My Dad's first Land-Rover was an 88" Series 3, T reg but otherwise identical to this.

Which soundproofing did you use? I'm trying a budget approach to the 90.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Noico-deadening-Automotive-Insulation-dampening/dp/B00URUIKAKNice to work with, and has made quite a difference. Two packs is enough for the entire vehicle including doors.

This was when I first picked it up.This was when I sold it. I see the original number plates have gone and the correct body colour headlight surrounds have been sprayed silver like later cars.
I’m sure the rotten crossmember and tow bar is still sitting behind the shed...
The previous owner used it to look after horses, didn’t have enough money to get it through the next mot, and had left it at a small Land Rover specialist to settle a bill on another car.
A friend convinced me to buy it with him, even though neither of us needed another Landy, and with the help of my cousin got it back on the road. I remember raising the idle to get rid of the smoke for the mot! The speedo under reads as it had 6.50 tyres on from new; I recall the co-owner driving it 20 miles home, cruising at an indicated 55mph, and when we checked it with gps it was over 65mph. I was amazed that it stayed in one piece!
It's definitely a survivor, having not left Leciestershire from new until I sold it (to a guy in the Isle of White), where the new owner sent his father to pick it up and drive it back. I doubt it had ever done more than a 30 mile journey in its history!
Does it still have the service book with it? I probably have the original (rusty) wheels somewhere.

Sold the Camel as it wasn't getting used due to work, after 6 months i bought this.
Sold that and behaved myself for a while (on the Land Rover front anyway) until I bought this
The Only red one made.
but after a couple of years I had another job with a works van, wasn't at home alot and it just sat there so it was sold to a guy from Portsmouth.
I changed jobs last year so had a lot more time on my hands soooooo.
Bought this from ebay with a blown Head gasket and after a few months my "cheap green lanner" turned into this:

It still has the service book, and I've just bought a repro handbook to keep in it.
The chassis looks relatively solid. It smokes like a beauty when first started, but soon clears up. I intent to leave the bodywork as-is, although I have given it a wash and polish.
Not sure what's going on with the speedo - the engine revs out at an indicated 45mph, I'll have to get the gps on it and see what it actually is.
I've started a thread here:
