We have had a suspension fault on vehicle saying 'suspension fault no hight only' it has been drivable but rather less cushioned than normal. Now we have Suspension fault 30mph max and the suspension is right down and will not raise.

I have referbed the compressor
Fit new brake sensor
Fit new from suspension sensor

Any suggestions as to what to look at??

I know it seems daft, but have you checked the fuse? I had a similar problem with my X5's compressor and after changing everything else, that was the culprit.

Yes have checked the fuse,
Wish it was a simple as that!

Could be a very long list of things, some of them very simple. You'll find a lot of support at disco3.com, but if you haven't done so already the best answer is almost always found by getting the fault codes read at a good independent LR specialist: again, you'll find folk on disco3.com very happy to recommend one.

Thanks for the info
We are in France and the dealers here are not that good, they have no idea about electrical faults.
We have a Foxwell NT510 and the codes it comes up with are
U0132-87 - lost comm with ride level control module
U0184-87 Lost comm with audio unit
B1A8768 - Battery disconnecion/electronic control unit reset
U0122-87 - Lost comm with vehicle dynamics control module
P140A-00 - Exhaust gas recirculation sensor C circuit low
C1A03-1C -front left height sensor
C1A04-1C - front right height sensor
U0416-86 Invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module
U0402-94 Invalid data received from transmission control module
U0416-94 -Invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module
U0403-94 Invalid data received from transfer case control

just looked there are 50+ codes
The only codes that came up before we changed the front sensors were

U0416-86 Invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module
U0402-94 Invalid data received from transmission control module

Going to change the sensors back this evening and try that but will be difficult with the vehicle lowered.
May try and by pas compressor to raise the vehicle to normal height

Did you wipe the codes and recheck?

Most of the codes can be from years ago and they get saved till they are wiped.

Mine was telling me about codes from years before when I had mine checked.

Has the car ever had the compressor changed?
Has it been running louder than normal before?
Any issues in the past with a yellow light on dash or suspension fault flashing up?

Will erase the codes again this evening and start it again just to check.
Not been running any differently. It started about a year ago and it came up with a fault and the car would cut out and loose power, if you switched it off and back on it was ok sometimes for a couple of hours sometimes for a few weeks.
About a month ago it started coming up with suspension fault normal height only. It drove fine no problem except the ride was not as cushioned as it should have been. Then yesterday after changing the front sensors it sunk down to access hight and will not rise it also now says 30pmh max speed.
We have not had a new compressor but have referbished this one, the only part not changed is the lid of it.

Just going to change the sensors back to original ones and see if the suspension works.

Was it a genuine or aftermarket sensor?

Would recommend when you get home to look for a proper LR specialist to investigate it further before you throw more money at the car.

Mine would throw up the suspension light and would only sit at normal height at times, turn off/on would fix it.
I stuck on a AMK unit at the end of last year as the Hitchi one was well beyond saving when i got rid of it.

Yes they are genuine parts.
Swapped sensors back and reset every thing. Suspension is now working and error codes are

C1A20-64 Pressure increase too slow when filling reservoir
U0416-8T Invalid data received from dynamics control module.

I have noticed a tiny pin prick hole on the dryer lid, Only part on the compressor not changed, I have now ordered one.I am assuming this will rectify the first fault
But as for the second I haven't go a clue

We live here in France so difficult in getting it back to the UK.

Had this on mine. Theres a wiring connector behind the passenger near side inner wheel arch that is known to corrode ( as found on Disco3) Cut it out and solder or repair the wiring etc and problem solved. Id gone through 3 compressors from the dealer and it was only when I told the indy about it he sorted !

We changed the compressor, then cleared out all the fault codes.
