A Sport is the same size as a FFRR in terms of external dims.
If viewed from a passing fighter jet, maybe.Apart from that a FFRR is 15cm longer and 5.5cm taller.
Funny that's the one you left out
Are you on about the RRS or the Disco Sport.

From the walk around video, the cheap bits I can see are the steering wheel centre cover, the overhead button console for the Pano roof controls, the area below and to the side of the steering wheel where the electronic hand brake button is, and the side plastics in the load area where the release levers for the seat backs reside.
Be interested to see if you found any more.
Bottoms of the doors are in that hard plastic that is easy to clean with a sponge but not so nice to the touch. The same for the back of the front seats. The rest of it looks fine and the car at FOS had a similar interior colour scheme to the one in the above walkaround Youtube clip (but I don't think identical as I recall some Alcantara inserts here and there) and was very pleasing on the eye. Be interested to see if you found any more.
Auto Express seemed to like it..

I foresee some big premiums on early cars - a friend of mine was offered £15k above list for his P380 First Edition that lists at £85k by a well known car dealer when he picked up a Huracan earlier this week and got talking about having one on order. That is someone willing to pay £100k to get his or her hands on one

Having seen one in the flesh and driven the Velar now, I honestly cannot see why a car like this is worth so much money.
At £50K, maybe even £60K - yes, sure. But it's just not "special" enough to warrant the price this car goes to once you start specifying a few options. You don't even have to go mad with the options list to get a number that would get you in an SQ7 for example.
Personally I didn't get on with the driving position and whilst the interior is nice in pictures, aside from the seats it didn't 'feel' as high quality as it looked.

Have to agree! The seat leather looked and felt cheaper than other RR models. Infotainment is a step forward, tho' even with "man maths" involved I can't make it add up in swapping a Sport for Velar, order cancelled. I'm sure they will sell buy the bucket load tho'At £50K, maybe even £60K - yes, sure. But it's just not "special" enough to warrant the price this car goes to once you start specifying a few options. Sat in a red D300 today with black interior (which doesn't look half as good as the cream).
Likes: Infotainment system, exterior looks, engine quiet at idle.
Dislikes: General feel that it's never worth the £78k it was specced up to. Some of the plastics just aren't up there. Finger access to drivers electric window controls isn't as good as it could be - they are too close to the door card. Steering wheel feels odd.

I was picking up some parts for our Range Rover last week, as usual, and went in to see the Velar, thought this could be a real option, however, far too expensive for what it is imho.
Especially when you see a RR Sport at 18 months old or so for £46k with only 12k miles on it sitting outside on the lot and a proper RR at £55k.

Got an e-mail from Select Leasing yesterday and they had dropped the C/H rates on the Velar. Might have something to do with slow new big Discovery sales (hardly surprising as they have ruined an icon there) so Velar needs to make up the volume.
I just can't get over the price rises LR are putting in for new models, yes residuals appear to be strong but you still have to pay the 40% depreciation plus finance cost over the first three years on a whopping list price. If I stay with the brand my Disco4 will be changed for a Disco Sport as that is still affordable but the expensive cars are just getting silly expensive now.

Don't do it. D4 and DS are worlds apart, and you're trading size for infotainment and toys. If you appreciate interior space you'll hate yourself.Shirt587 said:

Good points. I'm more likely to run my D4 another couple of years and then see what is around. XC90 is nice or there is the new concept about to hit the market....the estate car. red_slr said:
Anyone know current delivery time? Also is the 300hp petrol a 4 cyl? I seem to recall it was a v6 has this now been dropped?
Any discounts around at the moment or are we too soon into the launch?
