Picked up D5 today - black pack
Discussion
Picked up my new D5 today.
I went for full black on the spec - black paint, black pack, black interior, black headlining, black wheels, black windows.
I've been worried that it was going to be a terrible choice, but in the flesh it looks superb and I'm very happy.
Its quite a distinctive look !

I really do try to like the D5 Nd looking head on its great but I just cannot get past the C pillar. I will stick with my D4 for a few years.
What, this C-pillar?I've always liked the D1, D2, D3 and D4, but the D5 just leaves me cold. Just a dog's breakfast from the B-pillar back...sorry.
havent seen one I like yet. Think they all look terrible, top heavy, ungainly on the smaller wheels, and tech for the sake of it (rear seats! seriously why?). My guess is they will be facelifting this vehicle sooner than planned.
Recently sold my 15 D4. Great vehicle, but the nav system and technology definately showing its age. The suspension could have been a bit more composed when pressing on also. I know both of these things are better in the D5 but cant get over the looks.

I saw my first white one the other day, quite an ungainly thing. It looks like a 'cut and shut' at the rear.
For me, the lower half of the rear is too high off the ground, the spoiler appears to be an after thought and stuck on at the last minute before unveiling, reg plate should either be central or square as it is on the D4, and I don't like the grey bottom 'drawer'
Like many others, I will be keeping my D4 for sometime to come, a good thing for residuals perhaps
edited to say to the OP congrats on your purchase, hope you are pleased, it is certainly quite a marmite car.
(not my pic)

The car is just an abomination from the C pillar back, and in white lt just enhances itFor me, the lower half of the rear is too high off the ground, the spoiler appears to be an after thought and stuck on at the last minute before unveiling, reg plate should either be central or square as it is on the D4, and I don't like the grey bottom 'drawer'

Cheers!Yes, loving it. Although it already has to go back to the dealer for a few minor things that need sorting.
It certainly gets noticed out on the road (not my intention!).
