views sought on 2 cars
Discussion
Just wanted to get some views on 2 cars if I may. About to buy. Both from main dealers. Both black cars.
1 a 64 plate 4.4AB with elec. towbar, rear seat ents, 21 wheels, 31k miles. £63k
2 a 66 plate 3.0SE with elec. towbar, 22 wheels, less than 1k miles. £72k.
what would you choose. money not a huge issue. what represents better value and what would be more reliable as a daily driver.

The newer model year will have better infotainment options and the usual tweaks you don't notice immediately but help you along your way.
AB spec is hard to ignore though so you need to decide if the additional kit this offers are worth the hit you get with the older car, miles, warranty, etc.
I drive these things weekly and always prefer the features of the newer model years.

Stating the obvious, they are two completely different cars in terms of age, engine, specs, mileage, so impossible to compare.
I suggest first you need to decide if you want a 3.0 or 4.4 they are quite different to drive.
You say money is not an issue but what about depreciation? The 4.4AB has lost c. £30k from new and will be on a slower part of the depreciation curve than the new car.
How many miles pa do you cover? If low then an older car might be better value, if high then it makes little difference.
At the end of the day it's what will make you happy, and only you can decide that.
