I just bot a used 2014 reg range rover vouge se from a 4x4 specialist. Everything of the car is fine except the bonnet alignment. When i close the bonnet, there is a significant gap between the bonnet and the lamp & side panel on the driver side comparing with the passenger side.

The dealer told me to twist the rudder pins located under the hood each side, i tried to fasten the driver side and loosen the other one but no good result, gap is still there, it seems solid and physical.

What else can i try? anyone experiencing the same problem before please help.

Thanks J

I'm not sure about that...... The car shouldn't really have any kind of gap that doesn't match the opposite side - I'm sure it would have matched when it left the factory.

I guess it's a used car so may have had a repair at some point, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad car.

Of course not all damage / repair is recorded, only if it's over a certain level of damage and / or reported to an insurer.

Post a photo if you can, some people may be able to tell you more....

problem solved, it is not the problem of the driver side, it is the passenger side where the hinge area is too stiff, after lifting up a bit, the two sides looks level now.
