One of our Range Rover keys has done this

Is the rubber replaceable on its own or am I about to be sodomised by the Land Rover parts department?

Have you tried eBay? Can you buy a second hand key the same and butcher it?

I bought the wife a rubber cover for hers as she throws things about and doesn’t give a toss. The keys weren’t knackered to start with though?

If it helps- our rubber covering started to unattached itself from our key (not as bad as yours, admittedly). Was replaced free of charge at the next service, without it being mentioned/charged for.

From memory they are buttons from the dealer....
About £8.00 and my dealer fitted the new cover kit as well.

Have a look on fullfatrr.com, there's a member there that refurbishes them.

He can refurbish your key or he can upgrade it to the newer, smaller, lighter key of the newer model:
