Over the past few weeks the DAB reception had been poor on our 2011 RR.

This coincides with a new DVD player being fitted.

Coincidence?

The power supply they used is some cheap tut which is interfering with your radio reception.

Same with many USB/phone chargers that plug in the ciggy lighter.

You need to get a decent one from Belkin or similar.

Thanks All.

It was the DVD system. It has been taken out and I have a refund.

But it has left two headrests with screens in them, so I am not quite sure what to do now.

It is only the PSU the system uses, could they have not put another psu unit in?

He had also tried to fix a sound problem with an FM solution, which also didn't work correctly. I'd been to see him too many times and it was irritating me.

Haha, fair enough.

In this day and age I do think a couple of tablets in the headrests are better.

Then use a wifi dongle in the car for a data hotspot using one of Threes data sim deals.

I had this, £30 for 12gb I think it was, lasted about 7 months before buying a new one.

Tablets in the headrests?

I've just got 20Gb for £12.50 on Voda for our mobiles. The children link to a mobile hotspot.

Yeah, loads of the factory fit ones now just give power and a nice looking case and allow you to slide in an iPad etc.

They can then link to your phone and watch whatever they want.

Plus you can download all their favourite shows etc. before you leave.
