Those ordering and being given indicative delivery dates. Be prepared for potential date slippage...
On the 12th of December I ordered the new Disco 5 facelift D300(MHEV), and was shown/told 12 weeks for delivery. First week of Jan that delivery slipped a month to as follows:

My P400E has sliiped from 5 Feb to 5 Mar delivery
When did you order? I'm looking at one but the local garage is a service centre (BMW, LR, Subaru) not a full dealership and although they can order cars they don't have all the current information including delivery times. clelland3 said:
Sorry meant 2020 - lockdown mind...feels like it was that long ago...
I've now been quoted May for delivery. I'm driving a diesel Defender on Friday morning to see if I like it and importantly to ensure it can get into our underground parking. I've driven the same engine in a Range Rover and liked it a lot but thought that the RR was a bit too 'precious' for how we'd use it.chandrew said:

Hope it drives well - I went with the roof rack that makes it very tall and the vehicle nearly 2m tall as standard - so check your underground limits!clelland3 said:

We had a lot of fun in it. There had been 50cm of snow in the hours before the drive so we got to try it in the sort of conditions that I wanted it to perform in. It did exceptionally well even when I tried things like starting on steep hills, driving across soft compressed snow covered paths etc. It was on winter tyres as every car here has to be.I'm not sure that the dealer would have normally done a test drive in conditions like these but he's going into lockdown on Monday so I guess he thought he might lose a deal :-)
The height is probably the biggest disadvantage. It won't fit in the public garage in the centre of town and the one under the supermarket will be extremely tight (probably why there is usually a row of G Wagons parked on the road outside.) Our parking is about 220cm though I suspect that I will have more traditional roof bars for the times I need them as I want kayak carriers.
Looking to place an order for a 110, p400e HSE next week after I've confirmed that the building landlord is OK with me plugging the car in overnight.

Don't forget you can drop the suspension down to 'Access' and then lock into position.M

Bought the new defender a year ago but just couldnt get rid of the old one - even though it has been a nightmare to run with plentiful breakdowns !
my 400E nearly back in the order line - "Managed to place your order with JLR today into the holding pool - i've marked the car for selection to be built ASAP but i'm at the mercy of production planning to select the car for build".
Hope its worth the long wait....
We're hopefully going to take the plunge on a family-spec Defender in a month or so after my wife has test driven.
Does anybody have any experience on the D200 vs D250 in the real world. Obviously i think more is more when it comes to power but for pootling around the countryside, running to school, going to the shops etc is the D250 noticeably worthwhile?
We do use the motorway etc for long journeys but is an exception rather than a rule.

I had a D200 4-cylinder 110 and now have a D250 6-cylinder 90. I never really found the 110 slow, but clearly it was no speed machine. The D250 is much quicker and sounds really good. The 90 is lighter of course, but I’m really liking the extra performance.
Too early to comment on mpg - WFH so have only done about 180 miles since I picked it up on 1st March.
