Just bought a 2012 8sp D4 but realise now that the dab radio doesn’t pick up all stations (eg Radio X !). Is there any way to update it? Is it a software or hardware issue!?

Many thanks in advance

I have the same model year D4. I used to be able to get radio X but about a year ago, for some reason now I can't. Very odd.

Seems RadioX has moved to DAB+ ... guessing that's not supported

There are upgrade options - look for a Tesla style one that a lot of people have fitted

Nope - i had no idea either that there was DAB+ !

What is the Tesla style system you are referring to? Does that change the whole in car info / sat nav system? In reality it would seem that we only want to be able to pick up DAB+. Is that software or a hardware change?

Thanks

I can't post a link, but plenty of chatter on the Disco forum. It's a new screen, but from memory it has DAB+ built in

An alternative might be the phone app through bluetooth?

Why would you want to bolt a hideous tablet to what is a very nice interior?

Buy one of the Britpart cartronics double din kits and you can then fit a modern double din from Pioneer or Kenwood which will have Androi Auto/Apple Car Play.

Will look much better than god awful bolt on tablets. However even my double din solution will look better in the black interior vs the beige.

Pretty simple fix, you need a DAB+ box from eBay something like part no. CPLA-14F720-BP and a new adapter part no. LR032814. swap them over in the boot and retune. Et voila smile

Does this work for a 2010 car? (And do you have a link with a bit more detail??)

Plus is there a Bluetooth upgrade?
