Hi folks

Has anyone got /driven the new RRS without the rear wheel steering ? I’ve test driven a p510e with the rws but I’m concerned how easy it is to park and get round multi stories if it doesn’t have the rws. Dealer saying I cannot order with it at the moment

I've driven one without, only a short test drive for about an hour, but didn't really seem to any more cumbersome than our current RRS.

Anyone heard anything on new SVR?

My dealer advised mid 22 he expected some sort of launch Dec 22 / Feb 23.

Was planning a test drive in sport when mine went in for a service mid December but got held up at work.

Launch is middle of next month. Delayed a bit for BMW to get ducks in line for engine supply. Have dips down looking forwards to this.

Well, I had to hold my parent’s hands as they went to collect their new Sport today. My Dad can’t face dealing with car salesmen so I get lumbered with the job.

Anyway, it’s a base spec D300 SE with almost no extras other than tinted windows and metallic paint. To be honest they’re so well specced now it’s not really an issue, not for him at least! What a lovely machine, though! A really nice step up from the old one - he traded in a 2020 HSE which never put a foot wrong.

Came with a nice hamper full of silverware as well! biggrin

Thanks for that, not convinced to place deposit yet not due to change current SVR till Dec 24 also never paid deposit before actually seeing what I am getting before.

It’ll be a refundable deposit so what have you got to lose?

My new RRS AB is due to arrive at the dealers on Monday and they have asked for a date in Jan when I would like to pick it up. After an overdue wait, I would like to pick it up in March and get the new reg. Do you think this is likely to be an issue?

No. I’ve just done the same with my new FFRR. It’s been built since last Nov and loads of promises of when it would arrive. Due this week. I’ve told them I’ll register it in March. Don’t think they were too pleased but they accepted my decision.

Which dealership gives you all that? I still haven’t got a second key for my New Defender I purchased last May!

Hi all, I'm new to LR. Considering ordering a P440e Dynamic SE RRS but am seriosuly put off by the "12+" months waiting time.

Is this just what JLR tell everyone, is it likely to be accurate? I've seen a few posts on this thread for non-hybrid models where folks were quoted 12 months and got it in 4.

It’s accurate. Placed my order at launch for a FFRR in Nov 21 and it’s due to arrive in the next few days. Waiting time for another FFRR is 2 years. I’m going to put another order in when I collect mine.

What spec FFRR have you gone for? Might do. Same with our incoming RRS

It’s a D350 HSE with a few options including an electric towbar and the pre-heater, oh and 23’’ wheels.

Will look like this one:

If the roof was black, thats the same as ours that goes into production next week.

We have been told it shall be here before 1st March but its best if we register it then; makes sense i suppose waiting a few weeks.

Mine is due anytime now despite several promises of delivery from early Dec. I too will register in March.

I’d be interested in your RRS vs. FFRR comparison when it arrives.

Have to say, really like the Sport; its a fantastic car.

Will be sorry to see it go.

Likewise with yourself; new one was ordered October '21, so been a bit of a wait.

Ours doesn't have rear wheel steering. Amazing steering lock so very good circle.
