A Beautiful 322 is in my possesion - Sage advice sought(!)
Discussion
Lovely looking L322, be interested to see how you get on with ownership.
I’ve been running a TDV8 for the past 10 months:

My single/biggest piece of advice is get a Gap iid tool for it. You can see an example of it in action on the first page of that thread. The different DRL options can be coded via this tool.

You've broken the first rule of ownership - Never go looking for faults!
They will find you!
Second rule of ownership is don't work out the actual MPG. If asked, just answer 'A lot'.
It will use more than a lot but people don't need to know that.
After the Hemi Jeep this is virtually green. If I get near 20 on a run I’ll be chuffed They will find you!

Fixed rear remote - new battery that is the same as our home phone one - result.
I've a 2010 5.0 S/C Autobiography for 7 years now, currently on 125k miles.
In 30K+ miles the things I've had fixed are (IIRC):
air con condensor
rear tailgate corrosion (standard issue on L322)
A few front suspension arms and drop links
Waterpump (again, standard on this engine, can go anytime)
The single biggest bill was for a transfer box that shat itself around about 100k miles, this led to a gearbox rebuild at the same time as the spline which links the gearbox to the transfer box is not greased in the factory and the splines had been almost worn smooth.
Struggling to think of anything else that it's needed as a 'fix', just standard servicing and consumables. All in all been a great car which explains why I've not changed it out for the 7 years.
Only advise I would give is to check the wheel arches infront of the rear wheels just inside the rear door seals, it's a known corrosion trap but you can get in there and stop it becoming expensive with rust killer and paint/underseal etc...

Brilliant thanks - it’s on 65k so fingers crossed. In 30K+ miles the things I've had fixed are (IIRC):

It’s got a myriad of little things - today I couldn’t get the petrol pump in the hole without a load of jiggling. Screen washers dribbling is a pain.
On the rust it’s booked in to get cleaned, preventative and a rubber protector fitted.
Has anyone ever Sussed the navigation voice volume? I’ve tried everything still it yells!

The rubber trim protector on the arches traps moisture and salt, despite what the YouTube experts say - speaking from personal experience. I took mine off again and now just make sure the arch lips are kept clean, treat surface rust, and use thick grease/XCP to keep it at bay. It’s got a myriad of little things - today I couldn’t get the petrol pump in the hole without a load of jiggling. Aha - ok will get it inspected. I now have heated seats, both blower bellows had cracked forcing them cutting out.
Annoyingly the passenger heated seat switch backrest led is entirely random - weird.
Front washers fixed by lifting up the battery and releasing the pipe!!!!
Rear recline on 1/3 needs a motor - on order.
It’s been faultless over the time I’ve had it, no issues other than ones present at purchase.
I’ve had one before but diesel and this 5.0 is so much smoother and quieter. It’s not so far away from the Bentley.
Next it’s going on for seat sections on drivers seat and a rust check & fix

Just got it back from garage and should the digital dash dim when dark / lights on as it seemed bloody bright driving home.
He said the steering racks leaking, any recommendations for a refurb or a new one? I’ve seen £500 to £4000 ffs.
Needs 2 rear shocks soon but that’s not as bad a job as it once was.
Rack apart I’m stil happy with it.

More detail would be best before you decide on the best route - no point throwing a whole new rack at it if you just need a pipe re-making.
It’s in for a check to see if it’s pipes next week. The none dimming dash is interesting as most think it works off the lights dimmer - it’s def not
