We would like to show our sales by location directly onto google maps.

Is anyone else doing this or have any suggestions?

Excel Powermap. It's onto Bing Maps, but you can mess about with viewing angles, heights etc. Do not run on a weedy machine smile

Fusion Tables Maps might work for you. It is a Google product, so will work well Google Maps.

If you have Office365, then PowerBI is cracking for this stuff.
